Iraq War Stories: A Veteran's Catharsis
Andrew Goldsmith was one year into community college when he was hit with a revelation:
"Join the army, go to war," were the words that popped into his head as he sat bored in Economics class. "It never left me," he recalls, recounting the initial epiphany. Four months later, Goldsmith enlisted in the United States Armed Forces. He was 19.

When a soldier deploys, he or she goes through more that what most of us could ever imagine. It is important for us to let them know that we appreciate this dedication in the form of free military care packages.

Motorcycles in the Military
The speed and manoeuvrability of motorbikes has been a huge asset to armed forces throughout the world, with Harley-Davidson, Triumph and BMW all playing their part.

Military First!
I'm always amazed by the emails I receive and the posts that I read on various message board forums from new military spouses who are trying to grasp this whole military spouse lifestyle. Like the other day, I'm reading a message from a new spouse who asks, why her soldier is always headed off to participate in training exercises and leaving her and the children behind. Understanding the new spouses frustration, I quickly composed an email expressing my concern and understanding of her situation. I shared with her a list of support networks and available resources and closed my message letting her know that she was not alone and that a team of dedicated spouses and civilians stand ready to provide her with emotional support and empowerment.

A Look into the Morality of Military Research into Automated Robots
The Growing Trend of Robot Weapons: The concept of a robot soldier has long been etched into society with the help of media and science fiction. Indeed, the concept of an automated machine going to the battle field plants the idea that wars would bring less death as a result of having less human soldiers on the field. However, this is a grave misconception and the continued leaning towards the use of automated machines in war could prove to be more disastrous than it is promising.

The Incorporation of Airsoft Into the Military
Recently, airsoft is becoming a larger part of military training, as the similarity between airsoft and real guns is very close (in weight and size, not killing capacity).

Atrocities of War
The price of war is not calculable and atrocities of war are not unknown. The 1949 Geneva Conventions prohibit "outrages upon the personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment" against any detainee. However, what’s happening in Iraq is the rarest of rare and puts big question mark on the face of humanity. Reports and video recordings from different sources show how soldiers are being abused by terrorist groups in Iraq.

Army Acquisition evolves during War on Terror.
Mixing traditional acquisition practices with rapid and hybrid approaches is the best way the Army's acquisition community can serve Soldiers at war, said Maj. Gen. Mark Brown.

Nonjudicial Punishment: Service Cultural Divides in Military Justice.

Military members charged with violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) have a right to trial by court martial, except in the case of a member attached to or embarked in a vessel. However, in a surprising number of cases, servicemembers opt to accept nonjudicial punishment (NJP), instead of demanding their rights to courts-martial.

The following is an expert opinion by a Military Tanker: "Being a Marine Corps tanker is the way to go. Can't go into a lot of detail about how Army Tankers and Marine Tankers are different, just that the entire culture of the Army is so much different than the Marines...

Heroes Among Us
It was so touching to watch the news a few months ago, to see 132 World War II veterans and hear their remarks following their return from Hero Flight. Their destination, the WWII Memorial in Washington DC, is a favorite of mine. At night, with lights illuminating the granite columns and gold stars, the rush of the fountains and the hushed tones in which everyone converses without even realizing, the monument takes on a reverence which is unique and unmistakable. It is a tribute befitting the heroes who fought in that war, those who returned and those who did not.

Returning Soldiers And The Aftermath Of War On Society

The Blending of Anti Terrorism Training and Military Intelligence Training
Military intelligence not only aids in the formulation of military operations, but it also plays a strong role in anti terrorism efforts (as well as the military in general). Much of this country’s fight against terrorism is fought overseas by brave men and women who serve in the armed services. The close relationship between military intelligence and anti-terrorism is the main reason why both anti terrorism training and military intelligence training are essential for those who want to serve in the military intelligence community.

War Is Used To Test Every Kind Of Technology
It's a sad fact of life that war is good for business. Companies that manufacture weapons need to prove their technology works. So small wars are excellent testing grounds for both the current and new ideas. If everything performs as it should, other governments around the world will buy the systems for their own armed forces. But wars are not just about the latest guns, armored vehicles, ships or airplanes.
